What's the project "Rutas mp3"?
It's a project born with the objective of fulfilling the new demands of tourists, customised, convenient and faster solutions.

What can be expected from it? What does it involve?
Rutas MP3 project will provide visitors wanting to meet Mondariz Balneario with a new high quality innovative tourist offer. It involves the development of tourist audioguides in mp3 file format, that users will be able to download to any MP3 player, be it from this web site or from a computer placed at the Tourism Office of the Town Hall.

Where did this idea come from?
An MP3 player is a great travel mate, because:

• Its use is quite common and there are millions of units
• They come in a great variety, with different capacities, and also,
• MP3 file format can be played from cell phones to PDAs

This project is leaded by the Borough Council of Mondariz Balneario, together with the constant advice of the Innovation Private Agent, dhuman consultores. The project could be realized thanks to being awarded a grant aid from the Xunta de Galicia, within the program: Concellos dixitais 2008-2009, that also counts with shared financing from the Ministerio de Industria, Turismo e Comercio, the Plan Avanza and the European Regional Development Fund.

Which are the main features of the product?

• The routes can be played in real time. As the tourist is walking, a narrator is relating the information about the route.
• The routes are available in Galician, Spanish and English.
• Through a track system, the tourist can pause, rewind or forward the guide, whenever it's desired, adapting it to their pace.
• The high quality of the contents and the integration of all the routes in the same web site give the project a differentiating character.
